Welcome, Ciao a tutti,

My name is Felice, meaning happy in Italian.

I was born and raised in a small town on the Italian island of Sardinia, and as a teenager, I always felt underlying wanderlust.

In the summer of 1971, after a quibble with my father, I found a degree of independence and autonomy by working my summer break holidays at the local seaside hotel.

In July 1974, I graduated as Technical Engineer at Cagliari Institute College, followed by one year of study at Luton Technology College. After my military service, at 23, I accepted an invitation to visit Seychelles while the country fell victim to a coup d’état.

I lived and worked in Seychelles permanently for seven years, witnessing the country’s transformation into a new dictatorial rule.

In 1984, I moved to England and started my own tour operator company.

I have now retired since January 2019 and live in Surrey.

Today, my story seems to gain relevance as the Seychelles government has finally changed its administration, ending the 43 years of Rene’s regime.

Thank you for reading my story, and I hope you enjoy the book.
